  • If all the Muslims paid zakat, would it alleviate poverty in the world?
  • As long as Muslims pay zakat, thereafter their wealth is theirs?
  • According to the census in 2001, the muslim community is amongst the most generous, yet on the other hand the census informs us that some sections of the muslim community are the most impoverished.
  • The Muslim community has 60% of its population below the age of 25, how does that impact on the views and perceptions on distribution of wealth (ie sending money back home, building masjids etc?)
  • If Muslims are paying taxes from their wages, should they still pay zakat?
